What do you think Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were more sick of hearing about: that they hadn’t won a playoff game since 2008. Or of Tim Tebow? I’m guessing it was a tie. Which explains that 45-10 beat down they put on Tebow and the Broncos Saturday night. And don’t tell me that wasn’t personal. It was a nasty, surgical, no-mercy curb stomping. Now, I’m not saying this is the best Patriots team I’ve seen, but it might be the most (bitter). They are running on some serious fuel: that kind of rocket fuel that comes from being bounced in the first round of the playoffs the last two years. And from hearing how bad their defense is all this year. And you can’t tell me that Brady hasn’t taken a mental note or two after seeing all the run Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and even Tim Tebow got this year.

Again, I’ve seen better Patriot teams, but I’ve never seen one this hungry. Which is really bad news for the Ravens. Because while playing like they did Sunday may have been enough to beat the Texans, it will be just enough to get them hammered Sunday in Foxboro. And if they don’t get more pressure on Brady then they did T.J. Yates, Brady will carve them like a Thanksgiving turkey. He’s never been better, or more focused than he is right now, and at this point, it’s impossible to pick against the guy.
