In other boxing news, a Las Vegas man is suing Floyd Mayweather alleging ‘Money May’ went ‘Roman Coliseum’ in a Vegas parking lot. 21 year old Anthony Cliff says he was attacked, punched and kicked by Mayweather’s bodyguards in March of 2010. The claim alleges when they surrounded him, Floyd gave them a quote, “Thumbs down” gesture which was their sign to attack. What, like Caesar? Are they bodyguards or gladiators?

Let me first slam a big fat ‘allegedly’ on these claims. I don’t know if that’s true or not. But if it is, where were the tigers coming out of the ground? And why wasn’t General Maximus there to prevent the alleged beat-down? Does Floyd keep a private chariot? And this didn’t even go down at Caesar’s it was at the Palms. Allegedly. And this gets even richer…according to the lawsuit, the attack was the result of Cliff asking about a potential Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.
Of course, what else is a fan going to ask ‘Money May’? When he’s going to fight Victor Ortiz? Where you can get a $2 dollar prime rib in these parts? If May went thumbs down to every fan who asked that question, there’d be no fans left.
Again, I don’t know what’s true and what’s not but I don’t think I need to be Roger Cossack to know we can’t expect Floyd to get in the ring, if he can’t stay out of the court room. Remember Floyd, what we do in life, echoes in eternity. And right now, we are not entertained.
