There’s not a more congenial guy off the field than Lions rookie Ndamukong Suh. And I’m not sure there’s a fiercer dude on it. Ask Browns Q.B. Jake Delhomme; he found out the hard way Saturday, nearly losing his spleen in the process. Look, I’m not a referee. I don’t even play one on TV. But I’m pretty sure you’re not allowed to do that in the NFL. I’m not even sure you can do that in the UFC. Eaaaasy, killer hit the quarterback, good. Rip his head clean off his shoulders, bad.

Normally, when a guy tries to rip another guy’s head off, he releases and is like, my bad or hold his hands up as if to say, I didn’t do it. Not Suh, he was looking to finish that mug job and then body slammed him for good measure. In a way, while I can’t condone it, I have to admit I liked it. And you know Detroit fan liked it. And while they’ll never say it publicly, you know the Lions liked it. Shoot, even Delhomme pretended he liked it, saying, “It’s good to get hit like that. The juices get really flowing.” Jake, I know you’re tough and fiery, but I’m going to call bull on that: there’s nothing “Good” about getting your spinal column ripped out. If you liked it so much, why did you jump so quickly screamin and hollerin. If it’s such a good thing, why did you fumble the next snap? It’s because your head was on backwards, which is never a good thing.

Unless you’re the Lions …and if they can dial Mr. Suh down from murder streak to mean streak, it’ll be all good.
