Have to love Niners coach Mike Singletary having to separate tight end Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree when they were up in each other’s grill Weds. I wasn’t there, so I don’t exactly know what Click Clack was so hot about, but I’m guessing it had something to do with Crabtree not having the requisite enthusiasm for the preseason and training camp. And although no one would cop to what was said, I’m guessing he probably told Crabtree, I will not tolerate a teammate who thinks it’s about him! And Vernon Davis wants winners!

Singletary says Davis did the right thing, he just did it the wrong way; “You have kids. And every now and then your kids have some misunderstandings and they forget there is a father at home. There are no elephants in the room. The elephant was exposed.” Which elephant? You mean his teammates still haven’t completely forgiven Crabtree for a worthless holdout, that may have cost them a shot at the playoffs and because of it they really don’t appreciate his prima donna act right now….elephant? Look, I'm no doctor and I really don’t want to go Rob Dibble here; but Crabtree needs to be really careful. They’ll forgive you for holding out as a rookie, but they’re not going to tolerate you laying down as a pro…allegedly. You don’t like training camp and the preseason? How do you even know? You’ve never had to do it. Besides, no one likes camp and the preseason. They don’t care what kind of year you had or how mad your game is, if you’re not doing what the rest of them are doing right now, they’re going to have a problem with that. And they should. Who do you think you are, Brett Favre?
