Bosh Weighs In On Last Shot

Looks like LeBron James is getting a head start on June, by having a bad January. Or at least a bad week. After no showing and disappearing against the Mavs in the Finals last year, the question was, would LeBron come back with an improved game and a tougher dome? Would he be able to close?. Well, his game does look better. But based on his inability to finish against either Golden St. or the Clippers this week, he hasn't improved any as a closer. And he's no better mentally.

Then G.Q. Magazine jumped into the fray, by floating a little intel from Chris Bosh: Bosh was given a hypothetical, tight game, you're all having about the same night, who's gets the final shot. And predictably, he said, Dwyane Wade: "because of his success in the past, given what he's done. He's a champ. He's an MVP and hit a bunch of last-second shots. That's the time you have to put pride aside a little bit and do what's best for the team. He's the quickest and he's gonna get a shot off. He relishes those moments." Right. Now, tell us something we didn't already know. Not exactly a 'spit out your drink, oh no he didn't' moment. The answer isn't nearly as shocking as the question. I mean, how 2011. It's so 2011, it's practically 2010. Talk about asking a question you already know the answer to. At this point, the interview could have been with LeBron himself and he probably would have said Dwyane. I also like the way the article points out that Bosh answered 'Dwyane' immediately. Like he didn't even need to wait to hear the entire question. Like, "Chris, let's say its' the end of a tight game, …'Dwyane!!!"

Face it, LeBron may be a two time MVP, and a freaky athlete…but he's still not a last shot type of cat: and may never be. He's not wired for it. At least not the way Wade is. And he knows it. And his teammates know it. We all know it. Nothing to see here. Keep moving.
