There has been a Terrell Owens sighting! I have to give to my man. He just endured one of the worst years of his entire career. His Buffalo Bills were terrible, he never got off, and with the window about to slam shut on his career, essentially wasted one of the last remaining productive years he had left as an athlete. But he handled it! He stayed down. Didn’t make any waves or create any distractions. Didn’t even run his Q.B. under the bus! He did and said all the right things….and it couldn’t have been easy. So big ups for that, but it couldn’t last forever. After all, all good things come to an end.
Despite being named the “Receiver of the Decade” by USA Today, Owens told the paper, “I know hands down I’d be close to Jerry Rice’s records if I had been with quality quarterbacks like he had. He had Joe Montana and he finished with Steve Young. That wasn’t a drop-off. Say I had been with a guy like Tom Brady, Petyon Manning or Drew Brees all of my career. Are you kidding me?” That’s the cat I know and love! Welcome back, my man. And how good did it feel to run not just one, but every quarterback you’ve ever played with under the bus after not doing it for about a year?!
I don’t know, but probably something like an alcoholic having his first drink in a decade!
The key now is not to come completely of the rails with a full-on, week long bender. Call your sponsor, get back to the group and stay down. You make it sound like you spent your career catching passes thrown by JaMarcus Russell! You do know you played with some pretty good Q.B.’s, right ‘Two’? Guys like Donovan McNabb, Tony Romo and Jeff Garcia. But it would be different if you had balled with Brady, Manning and Brees?! Right!
And if i was a foot taller, had crazy quicks and insane game, I’d be in the NBA! Play the hand you’re dealt…it was a pretty good one. Oh, and yo’ homes, smell ya’ later.
