Canada Gets Their Swagger Back

What a night for Canada. Remember, the Canadian Hockey Team doesn’t want to win. It has to win! Don Cherry told me so. It’s Canada’s national sport. Their calling card! Their top priority at the games. And one of their biggest rivals, the Americans had already done the unthinkable in coming into their house and “punking” them. If their other arch-rival Russia were to do the same, there’d been panic, hysteria and despair in the streets of Vancouver.

But the Canadians made sure that didn’t happen by punching the Russians in the face the second the puck was dropped. And they didn’t stop until the game ended! Canada 7, Russia 3. Thanks for coming.

That’s the Canadian team everyone has been waiting on! It just took a team of Hall of Famers, All-Stars, and Captains…with immense pressure, a little longer to jell and come together. The Americans rocked them with a good shot; but once the ref hit them with their standing 8, and... More »

USA-Canada Would Be ‘Off The Charts’

Now this has to mean big trouble for the Americans, right? The bear has awoken, the Canadians just thrashed the Russians, certainly a better team than the U.S., and this can only end horribly for Team USA, right? Not necessarily.

While, the Canadians are certainly the team to beat, the Americans are still in a good spot. Canada isn’t as bad as they looked against the U.S., but they’re not as good as they looked in dominating Russia either. Taking nothing away from the Canadians, but that was a boat race. They got up on early and Russia just quit. The Canadians never felt any pressure. But, we saw how they reacted when Brian Rafalski scored that early goal against them. And you know the Americans aren’t going to quit or back down when the Canadians get physical with them the way the Russians did.

Sure, the Canadians have rounded into form and are playing better than they were when the U.S. beat them, but it’s easy to play with a three goal lead... More »

Durant Gets Rejected By Ginobili

If the MVP really is LeBron’s, the guy he might have to hold off down the stretch may not be Kobe Bryant. But rather this freak…Kevin Durant! The kid may not have the catchy nickname yet, or the ubiquitous ad campaign. And the fact that he’s doing it in the O.K.C. is definitely costing him some buzz and pub. But the kid is coming fast! And everyone in the “Association” knows it. And he’s absolutely killing it, every single night.

And was again last night…until this happened!!! “Oh no he didn’t!!!” Freaking Manu Ginobili!!! Manu, had no business trying to block that jam. Much less actually doing it! Even he knows it…“I was expecting to be dunked on, to tell you the truth.” Gotta’ be real with you Manu…I was expecting you to be dunked on too. We all were! And we were all wrong. Because, that was the best swat job I’ve seen since you ended that bat on Halloween.

I didn’t think you could ever top that crazy Jedi move, but... More »
